Born in Manta, Ecuador in 1970. He moved to New York City, where he currently lives and works. He obtained his Bachelors of Fine Arts in Photography Degree from Parsons School of Design. His work has been exhibited in several cultural spaces: Arnold and Sheila Aaronson Gallery (New York, 1997), Casa de la Cultura (Guayaquil, Ecuador, 1997), Alfred Lowenhertz Gallery, The Camera Club of New York (New York, 1999), In 1999, Urban Latino (issue 26) magazine published his photo documentary project La Cabuya.
